About Grand Hotel des Terreaux
The Grand Hôtel des Terreaux is located in a beautiful 19th Century town house on the edge of the historic centre of Lyons, near to the Opera House.
Guests can choose from 53 imaginatively decorated, air-conditioned en-suite guest rooms. Rooms are equipped with flat screen TV, with both French and international channels, complimentary Wi-Fi Internet connectivity, a room safe, hair dryer, bathrobes and toiletries.
The Grand Hôtel des Terreaux names its room types after parts of a theatre, havinng a theatrical theme as it is close to both the Opera House and the Théatre des Célestins. The indoor swimming pool and spa are open from afternoon until quite late, and are reserved for the use and enjoyment by guests.
Breakfast is served in the hotel's breakfast room, by the pool, with a choice of continental or cooked breakfast. The continental option can be served in the guest rooms.

Small But Up To Date.

Well Located.
The location of the hotel is great, being within easy walking distance of the old town: the up-market shopping district, and restaurants and bistros are just around the corner. For the business traveller the commercial area is not far away either.

Size Matters.
There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms, and the swimming pool is not big enough to swim in properly.

Check-In Difficulties.
With no on site parking, getting luggage into the hotel on checking in is something of a challenge, the garage for parking is some distance away, and the lift is small.

Disturbance At Night.
A serious problem one night was the noise created by a large group of drunken young people in a nearby bar, singing and shouting at the tops of their voices. This went on very late, and the lesson learned is to demand a room at the rear of the hotel.
