The beautiful Ashfield House (formerly The Danby Lodge Hotel) was built in the 1730s and was the birthplace of Francis Danby, the international renowned artist. Ashfield House is a relaxing haven located in Ireland’s Sunny South East & on the cornerstone of Irelands Ancient East. Located beside Rosslare Port, Ashfield House is the ideal location at the beginning and at the end of your journey. We have twenty nine bedrooms in our hotel located on seven hectares of beautifully landscaped gardens, with a play area for children and pet friendly rooms for those travelling with pets. Enjoy our sunny beer garden with beautiful mature trees and enjoy apples from our Apple Garden on the other side of the House. Ashfield House is only a short distance from some of Wexford's most beautiful sandy beaches. We are ten minutes from Wexford town, with its quaint cobbled streets and great shopping opportunities. Some local attractions include: golfing, horse riding, Johnstown Castle , the picturesque fishing village of Kilmore Quay and is home of the infamous annual "Wexford Festival Opera".
