The Redan is a boutique inn based in the quiet Somerset village of Chilcompton, just a short drive away from the bustling tourist city of Bath and the historic cathedral city of Wells, as well as being within good distance of the sprawling hub city that is Bristol. The recently refurbished hotel has seven character-rich rooms, a wonderfully stocked, wood-burner heated bar (specialising in over 100 gins, but also offering fine local ales, ciders, lagers and artisan spirits) and a 2-AA* Rosette restaurant, with a kitchen team headed up by the talented and respected chef Tony Casey. The whole hotel is dotted with interesting and quirky items of curios, reclaimed locally to maintain a wonderful local relevance with the warm welcome.
