Breakfast is superb, as is the creation of evening dining menus. With a reputation for fine food and an ever increasing demand, it is always advisable to book a table in advance.

At the end of a hectic day exploring this Robert Burns countryside, all you really want is a good meal and a comfortable bed. That’s certainly what you get here! Rooms are warm, welcoming and come with all the expected facilities.

Always friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to ensure that you, the stranger, find your way round with ease. Reception, bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff; all are excellent.

If you just want a drink + nothing else, be prepared to stand. There is very limited seating outside the restaurant area. The place is geared very much to dining clientele.

Drinks are overpriced. It’s worth putting your best foot forward and race into Ayr. It’s only a few minutes away!

Many will take a gulp and swallow the dining prices, but they can be excessive. If staying for any length of time, it’s still worth taking an occasional reality check and trek in to Ayr to see what restaurant prices are like in the real world.
