Positive Reviews
positive:
Practical location for getting around Marseille
The hotel's location right in front of the Stade Vélodrome couldn't be much better placed for football fans visiting the stadium. It is also ideal for those attending concerts and events. However, regular tourists also find the hotel to be well situated - especially with the metro station right next door. There are also restaurants near by and the Prado beach close by. Guests find the area to be relatively calm and safe.
positive:
Good value hotel
Guests are happy with what they get for their money. The rates are pretty attractive and the facilities are of a decent enough quality. The hotel is brand new and everything feels shiny and clean.
positive:
Nice and welcoming staff
Guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. The reception staff are on the whole nice and smiling and ready to share any information on the local area.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking is expensive
Whilst you can park nearby for free, guests say it is difficult to find places available. You are then left with the hotel's paid parking. Guests, however, find this exorbitant, especially as many feel it should be factored into the rate. Finding the hotel also can be a problem. As the place is brand new even sat navs don't recognise the location! Guests think that the hotel should invest in better signposts.
negative:
Rooms are small
Many guests complain that their rooms are too compact. There is barely enough space to open luggage. The bathrooms don't seem to be much better either.
negative:
Breakfast is spartan
Guests feel that the breakfast is too limited and basic. There isn't a great deal of choice or variety from one day to another. If you are a late riser, you have to expect even less choice as the supplies don't seem to be replenished.
