Guests had nothing bad to say about attentive staff that were friendly and hospitable. Staff had a knack for making guests feel at home, and many visitors to Aberdeen Arms found this to be their favourite thing about the hotel.

You won't have to go far to indulge in a first rate meal. Guests described their food as satisfying, including piping hot dinners with at least one beer on tap brewed in-house. Visitors to this hotel were also treated to a breakfast, with a selection of cereals to start, followed by a hot meal cooked to order.

Many guests commented that they were able to find a room that suited their needs at Aberdeen Arms. Three friends travelling together? No problem. Accompanied by a child? No problem. The hotel has unconventional room configurations that may not be found in other establishments.

It seems the lively Aberdeen Arms can be quite noisy at times. Thin walls and older architecture don't do much to muffle the boisterous sounds emanating from the pub below. From live music, to slamming doors, to general talking, some guests were disappointed that silence wasn't an option until well after midnight.

While not entirely bad, a few guests were let down by the smells of dinner wafting into their rooms. If you don't want to rouse your appetite, or would prefer not to smell cooking late at night, this might not be the hotel for you.

With recently renovated rooms comes a fresh start, and the majority of guests felt that their quarters were neat and tidy. However, mixed reviews regarding the cleanliness of Aberdeen Arms exist, ranging from feeling like rooms were impeccably clean, to needing a deep clean immediately. Complaints were mainly centred around surface dust and cobwebs, but some felt it was worth commenting on.
